Cadillac Sky's new album, Letters in the Deep, produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, is anything but traditional and marks the metamorphosis of Cadillac Sky from a critically-acclaimed Bluegrass band to a band without boundaries.  Cadillac Sky began recording the new album in Auerbach’s studio, Akron Analog which proved to be a pivotal moment for the band.  Auerbach played an instrumental role with a hands-off production approach, totally concentrating on shaping the sound of the record. The result is an honest, breathing piece of art that is amazingly authentic and gut-wrenchingly real. Soulhat was an institution within the music scene of Austin in the mid 90s. Winning Best Band at the Austin Music Awards in 1994 and ultimately getting signed to and putting out several records with Epic, the Black Cat recordings, digitally re-mastered and including 5 never before released bonus tracks, represents the best of the band in their first year of existence.
